The revival of the legendary brand.

For the third week, new Muscovites have been rolling off the assembly line of the Moscow Automobile Plant, and motorists are looking at the appearance of the domestic crossover and predicting the future value. Since November 23, after a six-month downtime due to the withdrawal of the Renault brand, the plant has been producing cars again. The Soviet brand was revived in the modern model Moskvich 3.

Moskvich 3: review

So far, in the car, apart from nameplates, there is nothing Russian: Moskvich is produced by the SKD method from Chinese components. The transition to a full own cycle is expected in a year. As components are manufactured in Russia, the level of production localization will grow. In the meantime, the Moskvich logo is inscribed in the JAC signature oval so as not to change the stamping.

Moskvich 3 and Jac JS4: differences

Now 2 models have been launched: Moskvich 3 with a gasoline engine based on the Chinese JAC JS4 and the Moskvich 3e electric car with filling from JAC iEVS4, but outwardly repeating a gasoline modification car.

Moskvich 3 with a turbo engine, due to its own control firmware, has an engine of 150 hp. With. against 136 l. With. at Jac JS4. But Moskvich 3e received a 68-horsepower electric motor, which is less than the Chinese version. However, the power reserve of an electric car promise 410 km. At the same time, the price of the Chinese analogue of JAC in terms of rubles is almost 2 times cheaper. But keep in mind that this is not how pricing in the automotive sector has been working for a long time. The same Haval, Chery and other Chinese brands sold in Russia set prices for their cars in the Russian Federation an order of magnitude higher than they cost in the Chinese market – this is a consequence of the costs incurred by manufacturers when delivering to another country, localization and pricing features in specific region.
